This week we had the Ancient Fires Night. I made a show with fiery bolas. The spectators were very happy and a bit worried too, but everything went well. Some photos and 2 videos.
Also, I had a lot of painting to do. First, it was necessary to scratch the damaged paint and then repaint the white windows, corners and doors.
During this time, Miss McAbre just enjoyed her time with picking berries. Happily, she shared them with us... They tasted very good!

Twentieth week in Lapland
This week, I went to Lapland. More than 3000 km, with 3 driver. We left Livonsaari at 11:00. We arrived at Rovaniemi about 2:00 am that night.
The second day, we visited an amethyst moutain, at the northeast of Rovaniemi. We arrived at Kilpisjarvi in the evening, they had 1 or 2 degrees, with a thick fog.
The day after, we took a boat trip to see the tripoint borders. A walk of two hours in a beautiful national park and a very nice picture of reindeer. Hilke, François, Attila, Anna and I had a good time there. Miss McAbre also enjoy her time there.
We spent the next two day in Norway. Tromsö and Narvik are beautiful cities. Splendid landscapes with fjords, mountains, waterfalls and snow-capped peak. Also the first time I see roundabouts in tunnels...
And the best part of the trip for me, was to Kiruna in Sweden. We spent the night with people I met on couchsurfing, Marta and Michal, great polish people. A shower and a bed, how can we do without a minimum of comfort? Thank you, one more time. Two intelligent and beautiful dogs. An evening Vodka Finlandia, Rhum Charette and Hungarian Pálinka. And the day after, we visited this wonderful wooden church, and heard the bell's music of the town-hall at 12:00 o'clock... Amazing!

Nineteenth week in Finland
On Vänö, the last weekend we had an oriental dance evening. Their clothes were beautiful.
This week I finished organizing my road trip to Lapland.
I am currently in Livonsaari, with Karol and Attila. I spoke about the practical things for the roadtrip with Attila, and Karol showed me around. A very beautiful tepee, and a green building, where I gave a hand. For insulation, they mix the straw and clay, which act as walls.
Miss McAbre decided not to be fooled this time around. She prepared her little bag and come in Lapland with me ...

Eighteenth week in Finland
This week, I went to Turku, where I met Nicole, my mentor. We made a tour of two parks, and I also went into the cathedral for the first time, amazing and beautiful. I had avery good time with her, thank you one more time Nicole!
This weekend, for Vänö Rock, we had the "Shitboots" in concert. A band full of energy, it was very recreational!
This Tuesday was the last Kid's Club. We made cups and balls, and a game of synchronization, in addition to some animations of interiors, and circus. Parents are looking forward to next year ... In fact, I wonder if were children or the parents who were the happiest?
I also visited Örö, a military island. We went on the Inga, a huge wooden sailing boat.
When we came on board, the captain explain us that they have a tradition: on the Inga, this is not the crew who maneuver, is the visitors ...
Incredible ... In Finland they have saunas even on boats!
Örö, a military island very secure and protected with ghost town since 2005. Great guns, a road built by 2000 Chinese prisoners under Russian occupation, and an abandoned village.
Aparently, the Russians were very fond of this plant which smells good and makes turn the head: Artemisia absinthium L.. A part of the visit concerned the local flora and fauna, including butterflies and protected and invasive plants.
And this is who I found waiting for me on the doorstep to Vänö. Miss McAbre had a dark anger, because I forgot to pick up her with me...
