Let's Rock!!!

Vänö Rock has gained a big success!

2 young bands!more than a hundred people came to the main Vänö event!

STD is a London based band consisting of four colorful women. They have all studied at Tech Music School, where they got to know each other and started making music together. Their style? funk, rock, soul, reggae, dark disco... a very powerful mix!

Engelsby Kraftwerk. The band consisting of three members is one of the major Vänö-based bands. They also rocked our socks off.

If you missed them this year, I would recommend you to not do it again!!

We danced all the night

A big party!!!

what I did? makkaras for every one!! a picture exposition about Centro Yanapanakusun a local NGO in Cuzco, Peru, and a Peruvian dish called causa rellena!! 

From picture sale, donors and causa rellena sale, I gained 100 euro for the Centro Yanapanakusun project! In Peru they value about 400 soles and with that money the association can buy food for the children in Yanapanakusun's school! Thanks to everyone!

I thought it could be a nice idea to share volunteering experiences.. north -south..east-west.. any country has a lot of value things to see, taste, wear.. and so on..

the kids club end with a message in a bottle..
children made some paintings and we put them inside a big plastic bottle with a message..
we throw it from the harbor and now it's still floating into the see..
we hope it's reaching the farthest beach and then still continue travelling around Europe..

another Kids Club on 26 of July..
8 children has made a lot of ghosts
over the Turku's castle!

in a castle there are not only prince and princess but also ghosts and they can be everywhere!

children discovered that ghosts are part of the castle and very funny!!

mostly of them are hidden by humans but sometimes they appear and scare people just by their presence.. 

there's no reason to be afraid.. 

they just like to play hide&seek as a child!!

from 28 of June has also started the kids club!
Every Tuesday from 14 to 16 in the Cultural House!
The topic? This year is Prince and Princess..
As you see.. we started making the castle! A Turku's castle model..
Step by step.. glue by glue.. this paper castle is coming up!
What children can do in kids club?
We always start with a hand made activity and we follow with a lot of funny games.. outdoor and indoor! As exNata and football!
Who can come?
Children from 0 to 13 years old with or without their parents!
And the most important thing is that we can communicate in finnish, swedish, english, italian and spanish.. 
Eelin can speak these languages at the same time!!

YogaTime

in the beginig of June we had a yoga weekend in Vano (see more in vAno vAnner) and I decided to follow by myself and also to do it every week with Vano inhabitants and guests. So we already had 4 yoga classes!

We learned dog position, sun salutation, tree position and many other asanas.. I like also to mix yoga with art and sound. So we also did some warming exercises for the voice and on the third lesson we also paint after a short meditation (see the picture above)..

The best of this experience is looking people trying to get relaxed and meditated after the sound of the Tibetan bell.. 

I wonder what they think: problems, wishes, nothing..

Here it's quite easy to get relaxed.. the wind is blowing, the birds are singing, the rain and the sun.. we are surrounded by nature and some times the silent it's better than relaxing music..

Yoga classes are every Monday, from 19 to 20 at the Cultural House!

on 25 of June in all the Finland has been celebrated the MidSummer. 
Here is holiday and everybody is happy to celebrate the longest day of the year. 
I think this day is even more important than the New Year. 
Even in Vano we celebrate it in the Cultural House with a Karaoke event.
Abba, Lady Gaga, Franz Ferdinand, Swedish and Finnish songs.. 
more than a hundred people singing and dancing till the SunRise..
